Malt Friability

The friability determination is a rational evaluation of the general brewing quality of malt. This international approved method refers to the research work of Prof. (honor.) Lucien Chapon.
For the determination of the friability immediately after the kilning process. The Friabilimeter separates the malt mechanically in hard and friable (smooth) parts.
  • fast and easy operation
  • sturdy construction
  • simplifies the malt analysis
  • empirically proven result of brewing value

Put 50 g of malt into the sieve drum. The grains are pressed, by means of a rubber roller, against the wire meshes with constant spring pressure.
