Innovation is Our Tradition

In 2017, Pfeuffer GmbH celebrated its 70th anniversary. The seeds of the company were sown by Franz Pfeuffer in 1947 with the establishment of a consulting and engineering office for the design of mills in Tiefenstockheim, Lower Franconia (Bavaria). Pfeuffer’s inventions and first products – including a dough volume recorder, rapid drying cabinets and an electric hygrometer – laid the foundations for the company's future success. In the 1970s, Pfeuffer implemented the concept of an innovative laboratory sorting machine and handed the business over to the next generation of the family.

In 1981, Klaus and Rosemarie Pfeuffer relocated the company to nearby Kitzingen and expanded Pfeuffer GmbH into a development and manufacturing business. In 2000, their sons Frank-Joachim und Lothar Pfeuffer stepped on board with a growing strong focus on international sales. In 2006, the newly founded Pfeuffer Holding acquired the sampling business of Denmark’s Rationel Kornservice A/S.

From 2015 to 2017, the management allocated substantial investments in modernizing and expanding the development, manufacturing and logistics capacities of the medium sized family business at the Kitzingen site, including two photovoltaic plants for sustainable self-supply of electrical power.
